On
the west coast, our lawns grow during most months of the year.
Our lawns begin actively growing in February, and grow well through
November.
Our rainfall can also be very high, especially during the spring
and fall. Many chemical fertilizers become water soluble very
quickly, and are at risk of being washed down below the root zone.
With chemical fertilizer, you have to apply fertilizer up to 5
or 6 times per year.
Naturally Green Lawn fertilizer releases nutrients during the
entire growing season, at a rate that the grass can utilize. This
means that our lawns stay green throughout the season, and we
don’t have to fertilize more than twice per year.
We recommend two applications per year of the Naturally Green
Lawn fertilizer. The first application can be made as early as
the end of February. The second application should be made in
late June or early July.
